KCK police ID man found fatally shot April 6

Police have identified a homicide victim found wounded on a Kansas City, Kan., roadway shoulder as Cedric A. Fields Jr., 25, of Kansas City, Kan.

Fields had been shot while in the area of Fifth Street and Quindaro Boulevard on April 6, police said Monday. He died after being taken to a hospital.

His death marks the city’s 10th homicide of the year.
