Two Independence men pleaded guilty Wednesday to recording pornographic images of a 14-year-old boy.

Randy Mull, 37, and Kenneth R. Davis, 36, pleaded guilty in federal court in Kansas City to aiding and abetting each other in the production of child pornography.

Both men also face multiple counts of statutory sodomy in connection with the case, according to Jackson County Circuit Court records.

Sentencing for Mull and Davis will be scheduled at a later date. The federal charge carries a sentence of 15 to 30 years in prison.

As part of his plea agreement, Davis must pay $5,000 in restitution to five known child victims whose pornographic images were found after a search of his computer. The amount will be reduced to $3,000 to each victim if Davis can pay restitution within 30 days of the sentencing date.
