Child porn charges are filed against Independence man

A 33-year-old Independence man was arrested Thursday and charged with possessing child pornography videos.

Kevin E. Moore was arrested after a search warrant was served at his Independence home, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The patrol said the charges were the result of a lengthy online investigation by the Digital Forensics Investigative Unit of its Division of Drug and Crime Control.

Moore was charged in Jackson County Circuit Court with two counts of possession of child pornography.

His bond was set at $100,000.
