Police identify Kansas City man found shot to death
Police have identified a 25-year-old man found shot to death Monday in the 1800 block of Topping Avenue as Demar D. Swift of Kansas City.
The shooting happened about 2 p.m. Police found Swift in the grass. He died a short time later.
Moments after the shooting, a man with braided hair wearing a white T-shirt was seen running from the area. Police soon arrested a man matching that description.
Later that evening, investigators acted on a tip that led them to the 9400 block of Cleveland Avenue, where they arrested a second suspect.
No criminal charges have been filed. Police are continuing their investigation.
