Bullets struck several houses Monday in central Kansas City as the occupants of three vehicles engaged in a rolling gunbattle.

No injuries were reported.

Police were called just before noon to the 3300 block of Brooklyn Avenue after the ShotSpotter system detected gunfire in the area.

Bullets struck houses in the 3300 and 3400 blocks of Brooklyn, police said. Witnesses told officers that the occupants of three vehicles fired multiple shots at one another.

Police recovered multiple shell casings from weapons of different calibers.
