More than 20 arrested for alleged DUI in Kansas City sobriety stops
The Kansas City Police Department with the Jackson County sheriff’s office made 22 drunken driving arrests Friday night and early Saturday during a six-hour sobriety checkpoint in the 4040 block of Main Street in Kansas City.
Law enforcement pulled over 865 vehicles and made three narcotics arrests, recovered a stolen vehicle and apprehended five fugitives during the stops, which began at 10 p.m.
Also, three guns were recovered, one stolen, and in one stop officers found a felon in possession of a gun. Other arrests included 12 on warrants, two resisting arrests and one assault.
