Shooting victim found at scene of Kansas City car wreck
A man was in critical condition after he was shot late Wednesday night before his car crashed into a pole, Kansas City police said Thursday.
Officers were called about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday to the area of 80th Street and Troost Avenue to investigate the wreck.
A vehicle had crashed into a utility pole, knocking out electricity to the area. Inside the vehicle, they found a wounded man who had lost “a lot of blood” and had to be extricated from the wreckage.
An ambulance took him to a hospital, where he was reported in critical condition.
