Kansas City police investigate vehicle hit with gunfire and flipped over along U.S. 71
Kansas City police investigated a shooting Thursday night near 39th Street and U.S. 71 that left two people injured.
Officers were called to a rollover accident about 8:20 p.m., where a vehicle had flipped over on the side of the road.
Police found bullet holes in the vehicle. The driver and a passenger had both been shot and were transported to a hospital, according to police. The driver’s injuries appeared to be life-threatening, and the passenger was in serious condition.
The investigation continued.
