Brookside bank robbed
A man wearing glasses without lenses robbed the Bank Midwest branch at 6249 Brookside Blvd. on Friday afternoon.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said the man gave the teller a demand note but did not display a weapon during the robbery about 2:15 p.m. There were no injuries and the man fled on foot toward the northeast.
The man was described as black, 35-39 years old, 6-foot-2-inches to 6-foot-4-inches tall and weighing 190-200 pounds. He was also wearing a dark hat.
