A 38-year-old Kansas City man is facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured a bicyclist in Shawnee in September.

Kevin E. Hall has been charged with DUI, aggravated battery, and leaving the scene of an accident, according to court records.

Johnson County prosecutors filed the charges against Hall on Tuesday. Hall is accused of driving a truck that hit bicyclist Steve McCrary about 5:20 a.m. on Sept. 23 along westbound Shawnee Mission Parkway near Vista Drive.

Both the bicyclist and the truck were headed westbound when the truck hit McCrary, according to police. The truck did not stop and continued west on Shawnee Mission Parkway.

McCrary was left in critical condition and transported to a trauma center.

Police said soon after the accident that they had identified a suspect vehicle and detained a suspected driver.
