Woman sentenced for drug conspiracy that resulted in death

A Kansas woman was sentenced Monday to 13 years and six months in federal prison for taking part in a methamphetamine trafficking ring that ended in a man’s killing.

Tracy Rockers was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan., where she previously pleaded guilty to a drug conspiracy charge and admitted being present when Gregory Price, 33, was killed in Eudora, Kan., in late 2010.

Price’s body was discovered in April 2012 inside a refrigerator that had been dumped in a rural area near De Soto.

According to court records, he owed $800 to some of the drug dealers and was killed during a struggle.

Rockers, 24, of Greeley, Kan., is one of 14 defendants who have received sentences in the case ranging from 30 years to four years in federal prison.
