Tips sought in vandalism at Independence car dealership

A $7,000 reward is being offered through the TIPS Hotline for information leading an arrest in connection with the June 9 vandalism at Cable-Dahmer Chevrolet in the 1800 block of South Noland Road. Workers arrived that morning and found 28 sport utility vehicles had broken windows, tail lights, door handles and mirrors. Vandals also used keys to scratch those vehicles, said Marty Dahmer, general manager.
The dealership has been located there since 1963.
Persons with information are asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477). Tips also can be submitted electronically at www.KCcrimestoppers.com, or by texting TIP452 and your information to 274637 (CRIMES). All information is anonymous.
