KCK man who exposed marshals to PCP sentenced to prison
A Kansas City, Kan., man who fought with U.S. marshals and exposed them to the hallucinogenic drug PCP was sentenced Monday to two years in federal prison.
Frederick E. Pendleton, 32, was carrying a vial of PCP in his waistband when marshals tried to arrest him for a parole violation in December 2014, according to federal prosecutors.
He resisted arrest, and during a struggle the vial leaked, “soaking” Pendleton’s groin with the chemical, prosecutors said.
Two of the deputy marshals had open injuries to their hands and were exposed to the drug. Both were taken to a hospital.
Pendleton pleaded guilty in October to assaulting, resisting or impeding a federal employee.
The two-year sentence will run consecutively to an 18-month sentence Pendleton received for the parole violation that led to his arrest.
