Shooting in Kansas City, Kan., leads police to two suspects
Kansas City, Kan., police said Sunday night that they believe they located two suspects in a non-fatal shooting earlier in the evening.
The shooting occurred about 6:30 p.m. at Quindaro Boulevard and 12th Street, police said. The victim had non-life threatening injuries from shrapnel after at least one bullet was fired, and was taken to a hospital. Police said the suspects were believed to be in the 1200 block of Georgia Avenue.
Police had surrounded a building. But later, Sgt. Emmett Lockridge said police didn't "have sufficient evidence to believe suspects were in the building" and at about 11:30 p.m. called off their operation. He said the investigation and search for suspects would continue.
