Independence man guilty in child porn case

An Independence man pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to producing child pornography in 2013.

Authorities arrested Morgan Littleton, now 33, after a woman complained to police about a domestic assault. She told officers that several hours before Littleton slammed her against a wall, allegedly because there was no sugar for his coffee, she had found evidence he was having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl, court records said.

According to prosecutors, police searched Littleton’s home, recovering a memory card that contained video depicting illegal sex between him and the girl. She told investigators that Littleton molested her once or twice a week since November 2012.

Littleton faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison.
