Convicted armed robber is sentenced to federal prison

A 25-year-old Kansas City man was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in federal prison for his role in an armed robbery ring.

Jeremy Hunter, also known as “Heat,” was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, where he pleaded guilty to a conspiracy to rob several area fast-food restaurants in 2014.

Hunter admitted that he robbed a Chipotle restaurant in Blue Springs after being let in by co-defendants who worked there. Hunter also admitted to lending a rifle to co-defendants who committed other restaurant robberies.
