Police detectives in Kansas City, Kan., are investigating the city’s second homicide of 2016.

Officers dispatched about 2 a.m. Monday on a check-the-welfare call found the body of a man in his early 30s outdoors in the 4000 block of Fisher Street. The man had been shot, police said.

Police withheld the victim’s identity, pending notification of relatives. Anyone with information should call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (816-474-8477).
