KCK man is charged with murder in shooting near 11th and Quindaro

A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder in a deadly shooting Tuesday night in Kansas City, Kan.

Wyandotte County prosecutors on Thursday charged Franklin Bryant Jr. with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Jerome Simmons, 39.

Simmons was found shot to death inside a residence in the 1100 block of Kimball Avenue, near Quindaro Boulevard.

Bryant was in custody in the Wyandotte County jail, with bond set at $250,000.
