Death of Independence man is declared a homicide

The recent death of an Independence man is being investigated as a homicide, police said.

Charles D. Younger, 55, was found dead Friday in a home in the 15100 block of East Truman Road.

Independence police initially described the death as suspicious but declared it a homicide late Monday.

Investigators continue to ask anyone with information about Younger or the circumstances surrounding his death to call 816-325-7777.
