Man accused of stabbing wife to death in KC’s fourth homicide of 2016

A Clay County man is in custody in connection with the stabbing death Monday of his wife, Carolyn S. Ratliff, 65, of Grain Valley. The stabbing was reported about 9:30 a.m. in the 10200 block of Northeast 38th Street in Clay County.

Kansas City police arrested a suspect at the scene of a fatal stabbing Monday morning in the Northland.

They identified the victim as Carolyn S. Ratliff, 65, of Grain Valley. They described the suspect as her husband. According to marriage license records, the couple was married in 1968.

The stabbing was reported about 9:30 a.m. in the 10200 block of Northeast 38th Street in Clay County.

It was the city’s fourth homicide of 2016.
