Man found dead under wrecked van in KCK identified

A man found dead underneath a wrecked van in Kansas City, Kan., was identified Wednesday as 60-year-old Robert L. Courtney.

Police said Courtney’s body was discovered Tuesday when a tow truck moved the van that had wrecked into a building in the 7900 block of State Avenue.

Authorities have not said how Courtney died, but the case is being called a death investigation. He was a resident of Kansas City, Kan.
