Second man charged with murder in Johnson County case
A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with a Johnson County homicide.
But court records are sealed, and authorities will not comment on which killing the charges stem from.
On Thursday, 28-year-old James Arthur Willis of Kansas City was booked into the Johnson County Jail on a charge of premeditated first-degree murder.
On Dec. 18, Dale Maurice Willis, 33, was booked into the jail on the same charge.
Bond for each is set at $15 million, which is significantly higher than previous bonds set in other cases involving high-profile defendants in Johnson County.
James and Dale Willis show the same home address on jail records, but it was not known if they are related.
James Willis is scheduled to appear in Johnson County District Court on Monday. Dale Willis has a hearing scheduled on Jan. 7.
