Steven H. Taylor, 25, was charged after a federal agent using an online file-sharing program downloaded a video from Taylor’s computer, according to prosecutors.

A subsequent search of his home computers turned up more than 600 child pornography images, according to the terms of a plea agreement filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Kansas City.

As part of the agreement, Taylor will pay up to $5,000 in restitution to one of the victims whom investigators were able to identify from the illicit material.

The agreement also calls for attorneys to recommend a sentence of between six and 10 years in prison. A sentencing date has not been set.
