A homicide victim found dead in his Overland Park home on Sunday had been stabbed to death, police said Wednesday.

Chidozie “Joe” Ojiaka lived in the 7900 block of West 75th Street. Police went to his home after neighbors noticed a smell coming from the home and flies on the windows.

He had been dead for a long time, police said.
