Federal authorities were looking Wednesday for a man who robbed the UMB Bank at 18th Street and Grand Boulevard just before 10 a.m.

The man walked into the bank and grabbed money off a bank teller counter. He brandished a handgun and fled on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as a African-American man in his 40s. He was about 6 feet 3 inches tall and had a thick build. He wore a Carhart jacket and dark pants and was carrying a white construction hat.
