Man dead in Edgerton, Kan., bar

A man was killed in a bar Saturday night in Edgerton, Kan., the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies were called to a physical disturbance at the Boxcar Bar & Grill, 100 E. Second Street, about 9:45 p.m. A 32-year-old Edgerton man was in the Johnson County jail Sunday on suspicion of second-degree murder, but formal charges had not been filed.

A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office said officials were still investigating the cause of death. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
