Kansas City police investigate shooting death

Kansas City police responding Saturday to a call about a shooting found a dead man behind a residence who apparently had suffered a gunshot wound.

Police were dispatched about 11 a.m. to the 2900 block of Prospect Avenue, but it remained unclear Saturday when the shooting had occurred.

The homicide is the 105th in Kansas City this year.

Police asked anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
