Kansas City police release name of man shot to death in Northeast area

Police on Tuesday identified a 19-year-old man shot to death late Monday in the 400 block of Maple Boulevard as Sylvester Murishie of Kansas City.

Officers investigating a reported shooting found Murishie shortly after 11 p.m. Monday lying in the rear of an apartment building in the middle of the block. He died at the scene.

No other details were released.
