Kansas City police identify 98th and 99th homicide victims of 2015

Kansas City police on Monday identified two shooting victims who were killed in separate incidents early Sunday. Romero Palacios, 17, died at Children’s Mercy Hospital of gunshot wounds. Parker Willingham, 31, was found dead in 3400 block of Park Avenue.

Kansas City police on Monday identified two shooting victims who were killed in separate incidents Sunday.

The 17-year-old who died early Sunday after being taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital early Sunday was Romero Palacios.

Police were summoned to the hospital after Palacios arrived with a gunshot wound. Investigators have not said how or where the shooting occurred.

The 31-year-old man who was shot to death around 4 a.m. in the 3400 block of Park Avenue was identified as Parker Willingham of Kansas City.

Officers dispatched to the area to check on gunshots being fired found Willingham dead in the driveway of a residence.

The deaths were the 98th and 99th homicides of the year in Kansas City, which recorded 81 in all of last year.
