Kansas City man is convicted of Plaza bank robbery
A Kansas City man has been found guilty of robbing a bank on the Country Club Plaza and using someone else’s marked work truck to make his escape.
A federal judge found David E. Clark guilty of stealing $3,037 from the Commerce Bank at 118 W. 47th St. on July 28, 2014.
Clark, 36, was wearing a bright orange work vest when he handed a note to a teller and demanded money before running from the bank.
Another bank employee saw Clark driving out of a nearby parking garage in a white truck with a concrete company’s sign on the side. Kansas City police arrested him about 30 minutes later.
Sentencing will be scheduled after a report is completed.
