KC police request public’s help in identifying body
Police investigators asked for the public’s help Monday in identifying the body of a young woman found Sunday near 24th Street and Monroe Avenue.
She is described as a medium-complected African-American, as young as 18 but possibly in her mid- to late-20s. She stood about 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighed about 200 pounds.
The victim had a tattoo on her lower back, stud earrings and a stud lip ring in her lower lip. She wore long black and blond hair extension, with dyed red cornrows underneath.
Anyone with information about her identity is asked to call the Kansas City Police Department homicide unit at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
