Stabbing victim identified

A man who was stabbed to death Monday afternoon at a south Kansas City apartment complex has been identified as 26-year-old Johnathan D. Olivares.

Police were called about 3:50 p.m. to an apartment in the 9600 block of Lydia Avenue. A man who had knife wounds on his arm and hand said he had stabbed Olivares in self-defense.
