Police need help finding truck possibly used in Independence burglaries
Police have turned to social media in hopes of finding a truck believed to have been used in several burglaries in Independence.
In a post to its Facebook page, police asked residents to be on the lookout for a white mid-2000s Chevrolet Express G3500 KUV work truck.
Police believe the truck has been used in several burglaries and other suspicious activity in recent months, according to the post.
In some of the burglaries, the driver is believed to have forced his way into a building by ramming the truck into it.
Witnesses have reported seeing the truck prowling residential areas and the alleged burglar using a red beam flashlight.
Anyone with information about the truck is asked to call Independence police at 816-325-7253 or 816-325-7324.
