Grain Valley authorities are requesting the public’s assistance.

They are asking for help in finding Michael P. Snider, who is wanted on a Jackson County felony warrant issued in June charging him with kidnapping.

That kidnapping occurred in Independence. Grain Valley police also consider Snider a person of interest in a Grain Valley kidnapping this month.

Snider is a 36-year-old white man who stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He is known to frequent locations in Independence and Grain Valley, as well as in the Lake of the Ozarks area.

“He is armed and dangerous,” David Starbuck, Grain Valley’s police chief, said Wednesday.

Those who see Snider are asked to call Grain Valley police at 816-847-6250 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
