Kansas City police investigate homicide at south Kansas City tire shop

Kansas City police investigated a homicide Tuesday night at a tire shop in south Kansas City.

Police were called to the shop in the 8100 block of Hickman Mills Drive shortly after 7 p.m. when a disturbance was reported.

Officers found that a shooting had occurred and a victim was dead inside the business.

Police believed the victim had come to the business and become involved in an altercation with others at the business.

The victim and someone in the business pulled out guns and the victim was shot, police said.

The suspected shooter remained at the scene until police arrived and was cooperative with the officers.
