Person stabbed across street from KCK police department

One person suffered serious injuries Thursday afternoon in a stabbing across the street from Kansas City, Kan., police headquarters.

Police said they had a suspect in custody.

The incident was reported just before 1 p.m. at a bus waiting area at Seventh Street and Minnesota Avenue.

Detectives are investigating.
