Ferrelview man gets 40-year sentence for producing child porn
A federal judge sentenced a Ferrelview man to 40 years in prison Tuesday for using four young victims to produce illegal images for a nationwide child pornography ring.
Raymond M. Appling, 32, pleaded guilty in March to four counts of producing, or attempting to produce, child pornography. Appling confessed to taking illegal photos and videos of four children, which he shared with others in Colorado and California.
Investigators identified another member of the ring in Pennsylvania.
All are being prosecuted in their home jurisdictions, prosecutors said.
