KC police shut eastbound Interstate 70 off ramp after suspicious package found downtown

Kansas City police closed the ramp from eastbound Interstate 70 to Oak Street late Monday morning to investigate a suspicious package found on a sidewalk at Fifth and Walnut streets.

The incident was reported about 11:45 a.m. Traffic in the immediate area was shut down while police examined the item.
