Kansas City, Kan., police investigate double killing in possible drive-by
Kansas City, Kan., police on Saturday taped off a crime scene in the 1300 block of North Fourth Street where officers said two people were shot dead in what appeared to be a drive-by attack.
Public information officer Amber Thomas said police received a call shortly after 1 p.m. and found the two men in their 20s, dead of multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities didn’t immediately have a description of a vehicle. Police said a drive-by shooting on a warm, sunny afternoon was unusual. But those conditions, Thomas said, might mean more witnesses.
About 100 residents of the Gateway Plaza Townhomes waited outside the apartment complex while police studied the scene.
