Two Kansas City police standoffs overnight end without injury
The second of two police standoffs that began overnight ended peacefully Saturday morning when four persons described as females surrendered when tear gas was used to end a six-hour siege.
Kansas City police surrounded the house in the 2900 block of Askew Avenue after someone inside the house fired shots at a bondsmen who was there looking for a wanted fugitive, police said.
One person came out of the house and was arrested. Another was still believed to be in inside.
No one was injured in the shooting.
Also overnight, police arrested several suspects after officers shot at by someone inside an apartment in the 7600 block of E. 85th Terrace. No one was injured in that incident, either.
