Prison ordered for man who traveled to Kansas City for sex with minors

An Oregon man has been sentenced to five years in prison for traveling to Kansas City to have sex with minors.

Abdul Lamont Gamble, 41, had communicated online with an undercover police officer who he thought was the parent of 12- and 15-year-old girls, according to federal prosecutors in Kansas City.

Gamble agreed to pay $250 to have sex with the girls and was arrested last year after arriving in Kansas City by bus, prosecutors said.

He pleaded guilty earlier this year in U.S. District Court in Kansas City to traveling across state lines to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
