Authorities accuse man in Dec. 1 fatal shooting in Kansas City
Jackson County prosecutors have accused a 21-year-old man in the shooting death of a man found sprawled on the street in the 3300 block of College Avenue.
Mark A. Looney of Kansas City faces charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in Dec. 1 shooting of Michael Taylor.
According to court records, witnesses told police that Taylor was in a car when he got out and walked to another car in which Looney was sitting. Moments later, Taylor was shot in the back of his neck. Looney got out of the vehicle and fled. Taylor died at the scene.
