Kansas City police investigate child injured in three-vehicle accident near I-70

A child sustained a cut on his forehead during a three-vehicle accident Tuesday near Interstate 70 and Sterling Avenue in east Kansas City.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. The child’s injuries were not serious but he was treated at a hospital. Details of how the accident occurred were not available.

Nearby traffic lanes were closed for about an hour while traffic accident investigators gathered evidence.
