Kansas City man charged in 2014 robbery, sexual assault
Jackson County prosecutors have charged a 29-year-old man with forcible sodomy and robbery in connection with a November 2014 attack on a woman who had just left a hospital emergency room.
Investigators connected David Lee Hill of Kansas City to the assault through DNA evidence collected from the victim and from a hat the attacker left at the crime scene, according to court records. Hill faces three counts of first-degree sodomy and second-degree robbery. He was being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
According to court records:
The victim told police that a man approached her as she left a hospital on Nov. 5, 2014. After they walked a short distance, the man complained that he was cold and asked her for a hug. She refused. The man assaulted her sexually and stole her wallet.
When investigators talked to Hill, he denied knowing the victim or having had sexual contact with her.
