Three people, including two children, were transported to the hospital after a crash in Overland Park, which temporarily shut down traffic at 175th Street and Pflumm Road.

The three-car crash happened about 3 p.m. Saturday and injured a 20-year-old, an 8-year-old and a 17-month-old.

Capt. Ryan Miller of the Overland Park Police Department said a person has been identified as a suspect in the crash.

“We have the person we believe allegedly caused the crash,” Miller said.

Police said that 175th Street was set to be opened to traffic again Saturday night. However, the intersection will be closed again Sunday at 1 p.m. as the investigation continues.

Westbound traffic on 175th will be diverted northbound on Pflumm Road, and all eastbound traffic will be blocked from Lackman Road to Quivira Road. Pflumm Road will also be shut down at 175th Street. The area is expected to be shut down for at least two hours.
