Authorities charge two men in Kansas City killing

Jackson County authorities charged two men Friday in the Aug. 30 shooting death of a 28-year-old Kansas City man.

Dahron C. Randolph, 26, and Joshua R. Randolph, 34, were charged with second-degree murder in the death of Justin J. Butler. Officers found Butler mortally wounded on the front porch of a residence in the 3400 block of Park Avenue.

Another man on the porch had been wounded, and a juvenile had been shot in the hand. A second child and woman inside the home were not injured.

Crime scene investigators found at least 17 shell casings in the street.
