Student allegedly threatens guard with knife at Olathe high school

An Olathe South High School student was arrested Friday for allegedly threatening a school security guard with a knife.

Olathe police were called late Friday morning to the school at 1640 E. 151st St.

The security guard told police he was outside the building when the 16-year-old boy pulled out a small folding knife and threatened him, police said.

The boy walked away, but additional officers arrived and took him into custody, police said.
