Olathe Hen House store closed while police search for robbery suspect

An hourslong search of an Olathe grocery store Sunday night failed to turn up a robbery suspect reportedly seen running into the store earlier in the evening.

Officers evacuated the Hen House at 135th Street and Blackbob Road shortly after 5 p.m. Police took the action after a suspect who had reportedly robbed a taxi driver was seen running into the store.

Police, using a search dog, spent more than six hours methodically going through the store before calling off the search around 11:15 p.m. Sunday.
