Overland Park man faces rape charge

A 23-year-old Overland Park man convicted last year of stalking a woman is now charged with raping another woman Wednesday.

Charles Wesley Allen Anderson was charged Thursday in Johnson County District Court with raping a 39-year-old woman.

Court and jail records show that Anderson was released from jail Aug. 15.

He pleaded guilty last year to a charge of stalking and was jailed in January after his probation was revoked, according to records. Prosecutors said that while on probation, Anderson was fired from several jobs for making “sexually suggestive” comments and inappropriately touching a co-worker, according to court documents.

Anderson’s bond in the rape case is set at $250,000. He is being held in the Johnson County jail.
