Armed teens threaten defiant woman outside Kansas City gas station
A woman refused to hand over money and car keys when two teens, one armed with a handgun, tried to rob her Tuesday afternoon outside a gas station at 75th Street and Troost Avenue.
The victim told police that the two teen boys approached her as she was walking out of the gas station just after 1 p.m. They asked for some money, but the woman said she didn’t have any. One teen pointed a handgun at her and demanded cash and her car keys, according to police.
She refused. The armed teen said he would kill her, but his accomplice told him not to do so. The teens ran south.
No detailed information on the teens was available, but they appeared to be 14 to 16 years old.
